What Makes Us So Different...Our most significant uniqueness is that we have grown the business by first finding qualified and competent auditors then going to our customers and requesting work in the new territory. Our Auditors... All auditors are employees. No auditor, whether full time or part time, is allowed to work for another service company. We seek, attract and retain auditors who have carrier experience and training. In order to attract this caliber of employee, we offer comprehensive benefits similar to an insurance company. All candidates are screened for technical competencies. Just because an auditor has experience, does not mean the auditor is proficient in what the rules are and how to apply them. All auditors are knowledgeable in auditing insureds who use Quick Books. They are trained in how to uncover all exposures without incurring unreasonable time charges. The auditors are proficient in knowing what reports to run, how to modify the reports for insurance auditing purposes and how to interpret the reports. All auditors are equipped with state of the art lap top computers. We encourage and pay for our auditors to attend professional meetings. Our Audits... Every audit, and I mean every audit, is reviewed by a manger. We compare the completed audit with both the customer requirements and the manual rules. We closely manage our inventory so that we do not accept more work than we can process in the time frames our customer has requested. All physical audits that are made on the insured’s premises include a tour of the operations. All audits done off the insured’s premises include a phone conversation with an officer/owner to review the operations, employees duties and discuss the findings of casual or sub contract labor. All audits will include a comprehensive examination of all the insured’s records. We do not limit our audit to payroll and cash disbursements records (as in a workers compensation audit). We obtain sales information, examine contracts and visit their web site all to ensure we fully understand the scope of the insured’s operations and that we properly classify the risk. We will only charge for the actual time spent (subject of course to a one hour minimum) on an audit. Our staff is well aware that we will question any appearance of excess time charges on their part. We perform customer surveys (call to insured’s) to ensure auditors performance. All re-audits and disputed audits are handled by a manger. All phone audits are performed by auditors who also perform physical audits. We will never close out an audit unless an appointment letter was sent, phone calls were made to the insured and we spoke with the agent. If a customer requests a second attempt be made on a close out, the insured is contacted by phone within 48 hours to discuss the records needed and the location of the audit. We explain there will be only one further attempt and the audit will need to be made within 2-3 weeks. Employee Training We provide ongoing paid training. This includes 2 seminars annually, weekly paid training, on the job training plus a two week comprehensive training program for experienced auditors who are new to Premium Audit Services, LLC. All auditors have a manger travel with them a minimum of 3 times a year to assess their strengths and weaknesses. If needed, a development plan is then prepared. All auditors are encouraged to sit for PA91 and PA92. We offer classes for employees to help ensure their success. We pay for successful completion of these exams as well as APA and CPCU designations.
